ramble on...

june opam - done

i actualy did it! well..with some assistance from my little helpers.

my photo albums are now caught up through april 2008. my plan is to tackle the rest of 2008 and see if i can get those photos into albums before the end of july. we have some vacation time planned so it might be tough. but i have to say, the kids had such a good time going through all the pics and remembering all these moments from last year. i definitely need to get better at keeping this project going and updated so it's not such a big task.

My girl learned how to do a flip in the pool this past weekend. The pool belongs to our fabulous neighbors. We live just over the fence to the right in the background.

Please ignore the cackling in the background. I swear I don't really sound like that. The other voice is John.

update on annie fo fannie

...she's doing great!

our savings account, not so much. but it was worth it to get our girl back to her old self. she spent a few days inside with us while on pain meds and antibiotics. now she's back with her pack and everything seems to be fine. our challenge now is to keep her 8 inch incision clean until the stitches come out.

annie says thank you for all the well wishes...we do, too. :)

our annie girl is in surgery today. she has plyometra, which is an infection in her uterus. we spent the last 24 hours thinking we'd have to put her down, but it looks like surgery might just make her better. she'll get to come home tomorrow evening if all goes well.

come home soon annie girl...there's a whole house full of love waiting for you.

16 years

Today is our anniversary. Sixteen years of wedded bliss. Seems like it was just yesterday that we we met and fell in love in a matter of a few short weeks. We knew each other in high school, but never dated or anything. Years go by and I met up with him at a country bar (we were there for a birthday party) and I knew the second I looked him in those baby blue eyes that I was a goner. He was the one. That was in January. We were married 5 months later.

When you know, you know. And it's been an amazing ride with him by my side. Happy Anniversary sweets!

june opam

happy june my sweet blog readers!

it's summer time for us, which means i'm trying to find a way to work full time and keep the kiddos occupied without losing my mind.

we joined the ymca this summer to get us out of the house. i do water aerobics and iain works out in the gym while tatum gets some play time in the child center with friends from school. on my off days john takes them in the evening and they all swim after workouts.

so far so good.

so it's on to the one project a month - opam - ala miss tara (who needs to get her act together and get that started again...ahem...). i stopped last summer in july just before my mom passed away...so it's time to revisit that one and get going again. i have a stack of photos from costco still sitting in the same spot i left them in (i just dust around them).

at the time i wrote:

so that's it. i have 7 months worth of photos to go through. some of them i haven't even looked at - just downloaded the card and forgot about them. this should be fun to go back through them and see what we've been up to. i'll probably post a few as i go through them.

now it's NINETEEN months worth of photos to go through. 19. i'm not even planning to get through them all - just what i can do. but for sure, the stack of photos will find their way into an album. that seems like a good place to start.

so get busy. it's june 1st. it's a whole new month to fill with things to do.
